Making Sense of Pattern Grading

Threads magazine has a wonderful article on pattern grading entitled Making Sense of Pattern Grading. I’ve been trying to read all that I can so that I can turn my size 18 dress into a size  12 bodice and 14 skirt. This does mean I need to purchase another ruler though, one that divides 1” into 1/64”. I will have to take a trip to a craft store soon. I’m hoping to wear this dress as my back to school dress if all goes well. I think it would look really cute in black with either white or red buttons, and peep-toe heels that match the button color.
